The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the world down to its knees. Not only developing countries like India, even the developed nations like the US are struggling to keep up with the speed at which the deadly disease is spreading. Moreover, there’s a clear shortage of basic medical equipment like masks, sanitizers and hazmat suits that the doctors fighting the pandemic on the front lines require. Many celebs have donated to the PM-CARES fund while some have chosen to help in other capacities in their fight against coronavirus.
As India continues to fight the spread of coronavirus, people from all walks of life, including celebrities, industrialists and politicians have stepped in to contribute. The Union government has set up a public charitable trust under the name The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Many have donated to the PM-CARES fund while some have chosen to help in other capacities. Given the trying times, we are in, several renowned personalities from the Indian film industry have come forward to help those in need. The donations, both monetary and otherwise, seek to bring the much-needed relief to those struggling to copy with the crisis.Here is a list of people who have so far donated towards efforts to fight the coronavirus in India:

Following in Rajinikanth’s footsteps, Prabhas too made a significant donation to the needy. As per a PTI report, the ‘Baahubali’ star donated a whopping Rs 4 crore towards COVID-19 relief.
