You might be surprised to know that there are several celebs who started their career as background dancers in movie songs but they made a place for themselves with their hard work and dedication.

They started off as background dancers but today it is hard to believe that they were just a face of the crowd.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor is an Indian film actor, who is popular in bollywood. Shahid started his career by appearing in music videos and advertisements. Saroj Khan

Saroj Khan is one of the most prominent Indian dance choreographers in Hindi cinema. She choreographed more than 2000 songs. Bollywood’s beloved Master Ji has been making many stars dance to her tunes for years.

but she too started off by dancing in the background. But before her choreography career, she was seen as a Background dancer in many films. She was seen in the song ‘Aaiye Meharbaan’ from the film Howrah Bridge in the backdrop dressed as a guy alongside Ashok Kumar and Madhubala

Sushant Singh Rajput

Not everyone knows that Sushant Singh Rajput too was a background dancer with choreographer Shiamak Davar before he became an actor. Sushant used to dance as part of Shiamak Davar’s dance company. He was seen in the title song of ‘Dhoom 2’ along with Hrithik Roshan .

Sushant in fact has even performed as a background dancer with Aishwarya Rai, Preity Zinta etc in his dancing days. Today, he become a famous Indian film and television actor.

Kajal Aggarwal

Presently Kajal is a well-known actress. Kajal Aggarwal is an Indian film actress and model. She has established a career in the Tamil and Telugu film industries and has been nominated for four Filmfare Awards South .

But she also started her career as a dancer in shows and movies. She was seen as a background dancer with Aishwarya Rai in 'Uljhane' track from 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na…' .

Daisy Shah

Daisy Shah is a popular name today. She appeared opposite Salman Khan in the 2014 Bollywood film Jai Ho , in 2015, she was a part of Hate Story 3 .

Daisy Shah, who started her career through ‘Jai Ho’ played the role of background dancer in few films. The famous choreographer and actor was also seen as a background dancer in 'Lagan Lagi' from Salman Khan's 'Tere Naam' .

Arshad Warsi

Arshad Warsi entered Bollywood as a background dancer, then he became one of the finest actors in the film industry. He was a choreographer before he became an actor with some fine comic timing .

Little is it known that he was dancing away in the background in a Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar song song called ‘Help Me’ from the film “ Aag Se Khelenge ”.

She's among the most successful choreographers and directors today; however earlier, she was seen as a background dancer in 'Hum Hain Naujawan' track from Govinda's 'Sadaa Suhagan' .
