No matter how hard humans may try, they will never be able to match the beauty, mystery, and wonder that nature can provide.

Trees are very beneficial for us but there are some trees that are very dangerous as well. The seeds of some flowers and fruits are toxic. The chemicals of such trees take human life in a short time. We are going to talk about Some Beautiful but Dangerous Flowers.

They look beautiful and attractive to see but their beauty is a cheat. Some are full of beauty but also poisonous, while others don’t look like flowers at all.

A monkey? An alien? You never know what you will find. Sounds Interesting? Let us dive in.

White Snakeroot

Native to eastern and central North America, the White Snakeroot is a poisonous herb of the aster family. The plant contains a toxic alcohol (tremetol), which can cause muscular tremors, weakness, constipation, and even death in both animals and humans.

The White Snakeroot was responsible for the death of Nancy Hanks Lincoln, the mother of Abraham Lincoln.

Manchineel

Found in tropical southern North America and northern South America, the Manchineel is one of the most poisonous plants to humans. Its milky sap contains the powerful irritant phorbol and smoke from a burning Manchineel can temporarily blind a person.

However, it is the round fruit resembling apples that is the most dangerous and toxic part of the plant.

Suicide Tree

The Suicide Tree is one of the most poisonous plants in India, where it can be found in coastal salt swamps and marshy areas. In the Indian state of Kerala alone, it is thought to cause around 50 deaths a year. Despite the name, however, this plant’s toxins work equally well for murder as the flavor can be easily hidden in a bowl of spicy food.

Lily of the Valley

The Lily of the Valley is a sweetly scented plant known for its attractive foliage and flowers. It can be easily grown in moist, fertile, organically rich, well-drained soils, but all parts of this plant are very poisonous as they contain chemicals that can cause severe heart problems.

Flying Duck Orchid

This tiny flower usually only about 50 centimeters tall has failed to thrive anywhere else because of a symbiotic relationship between the roots and a vegetative part of a fungus which can only be found in the wild country of eastern and southern Australia.

It looks like a duck. Its fragrance only can make the person unconscious.

Angel’s Trumpet

It is shaped like a trumpet. Its flower is beautiful to look at, but it is very dangerous. Angel trumpet contains scopolamine. Due to this, its hallucination power is very strong. Powder made from it has been used to execute many criminal incidents.

 Flame Lily

This is the national flower of Zimbabwe. This flower is very amazing and is found in the tropical areas of Asia and Africa.

Flame Lily usually grows as tuberous climbing plants and produces unusual red or yellow flowers with wavy edges. As Alicia Keys might say, “This flower’s on fire…!”

Bleeding Heart

Named because the pink-colored, heart-shaped flowers have small dangling tips that are compared to drops of blood, these plants are grown in various parts of the world for ornamental purposes.

But warning! They’re poisonous to ingest and can cause skin irritation, so no rolling around in this one.

Chinese Lantern

This flower is not only beautiful, but it also has many medicinal properties. It is used to make medicines of cough, cold, and fever, etc. Not only this, but it is also used in malaria and labor-pain related medicines.

The unripe berries, however, are poisonous.

Corpse Lily

It’s not an appealing name for the largest flower in the world, often measures up to 10 feet tall, but it stinks. Literally, along with being rather unattractive, the odor had been compared to rotten flesh, so leave this one out of your flower bouquets.

Ballerina Orchid

The Ballerina Orchid is a small, inconspicuous, terrestrial spider orchid found mainly in Australia. Sadly, it’s become rarer and rarer as it’s threatened by grazing, but research efforts are being made to propagate the population again. A whole troupe of tiny dancers!

This flower is like a small and terrestrial spider. However, gradually it is becoming extinct.

Psychotria Elata

It is also known as “Hooker’s Lips,” this plant has apparently evolved into its current shape to attract pollinators, including hummingbirds, butterflies, and lonely men in need of a date.

Aconitum

Do not be fooled by the pretty colors!

This flower is also known as “Devil’s Helmet” or “Queen of All Poisons” is, rather dangerous. At any rate, don’t eat it because “with large doses death is almost instantaneous.”

This flowering plant grows within hilly parts of the Northern Hemisphere. The accidental consumption of aconite results in burning, vomiting, and diarrhea. It also makes variations in blood pressure, heart irregularities, and coma.

Tacca chantrieri

No, that’s not a bat, but it looks pretty cool, isn’t it?

The Tacca Chantrieri is actually a species of flower in the yam family that has black flowers and long “whiskers” that can grow up to 28 inches.

Torch Ginger

As the name implies, you can eat this one, although straight from the ground isn’t recommended. The bud is often sliced or shredded, and is an indispensable ingredient in Malaysian cuisine where it is used as a spice.

Monkey Orchid

While someone didn’t get too creative with the name, it fits this one perfectly.

Seeing these flowers, you will see nothing else but monkeys, that is why it has been named as ‘Monkey Orchid’. Well its technical name is ‘Dracula Simia.’ Its last part is exactly like the monkey’s mouth.

Trichosanthe

This is another one that has both beauty and brains in that the root contains a wide range of proteins, enzymes, and amino acids, many of which have an anti-inflammatory effect.

It helps promote the production of fluids in the body, and is especially helpful in treating conditions manifested by inflammations. Parrot Flower

Sea Poison Tree

It turns out that this plant is poisonous, but not dangerous to humans. Instead, the seeds and other parts of the plant are pounded, pulped, or grated to release the poison and used to stun fish in freshwater streams. The “sea” part comes from the fact that it disperses its fruit by floating in the sea where it can survive for up to two years.

Autumn Crocus

Did you know that the autumn variety is deadly poisonous due to their colchicine content and that the symptoms of poisoning resemble those of arsenic?

While no antidote is known, the positive is that it’s being used in the early stages of drug development for the treatment of some types of cancer.

Candy Cane Sorrel

While we most often associate candy canes with winter, this stunning plant blooms mainly in spring.

Snapdragon Skulls

While Snapdragons (often called dragon flowers) are beautiful when in bloom when they die they leave behind the seed pod, and the “dragon” appears to have a skull.

Creepy Talks…isn’t it?

Sacred Datura

Look at the pretty flower with sweetly fragrant white trumpets often tinted purple! Ingestion of plant material can induce auditory and visual hallucinations and potentially lethal side effects.

Swaddled Babies (Anguloa Uniflora)

The large, fragrant, creamy-white, waxy flowers usually bloom in the spring and summer and are overwhelmingly fragrant – unlike babies at most times.

Alien Tricyrtis Hirta

Also known as the “toad lily,” which is much easier to say than “alien tricyrtis hirta”.

It has tentacle-like whiskers growing from the flower, making it look like something you’d find on an alien planet.

Moonflowers

This flower unfurls in the evening and stays open until the sun rises. It’s considered one of the most romantic plants you can grow in the garden and is sweetly fragrant when open. However, it’s also quite poisonous.

Ahh…love is so fickle.

Flowers make an ideal gift for a friend, family member, or loved one.

However, there are many plants that look beautiful and are completely harmless, but you should be very careful about what you touch or eat. In fact, some plants can harbor some of the deadliest poisons known.

From world’s most poisonous flowers to plants that cause paralysis, make sure to avoid these 25 Most Dangerous Plants That Could Seriously Hurt You.
