Try this amazing Chili cheese bread poppers with tons of gooey cheese and a spicy kick of chili!
These chilli cheese bread poppers are great for breakfast or as evening snacks. You can roast them using a pan and they become perfectly crispy. Also, you can add some finely chopped vegetables of your choice to these poppers, if you like to do so.
Chili Cheese Bread Poppers
Ingredients
BREAD POPPERS
- 2 slice Bread
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 1 tbsp Chili flakes
CHEESE CREAM
- 1½ tbsp Butter
- 1½ tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1½ cup Milk
- 2 slice Cheese
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 1 tbsp Chili flakes
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Fresh Coriander
Instructions
BREAD POPPERS
- Take 2 slices of bread and cut them into small cubes.
- In a pan, dry roast these bread cubes for 4-5 minutes until they are crispy. Keep aside.
- Heat the pan with 2 tbsp of olive oil and fry ginger garlic paste until aromatic.
- Add oregano, chili flakes, black pepper as per taste and roasted bread cubes in it and mix well.
- Keep it aside in the bowl.
CHEESE CREAM
- In a pan, heat 1½ tbsp of butter.
- Add 1½ tbsp of all-purpose flour (maida) and stir continuously for a minute.
- Pour 1½ cup of milk little by little while stirring continuously with a whisk.
- Add 2 slice of cheese and mix well.
- Reduce the flame to low and continue stirring until the mixture starts to thicken.
- Add 1 tbsp of chili flakes, 1 of oregano, a pinch of black pepper and salt. Mix well.
- Now, pour this cheese cream on the roasted bread and garnish with fresh coriander.
- Your Cheesy chili bread poppers are ready to serve.
