Depression is something that is not very openly talked about as compared to all other traumas one goes through in life. Mental health is as vital as being physically fit. It is like a seesaw swing which gets imbalanced any moment when more pressure is there on one side. But as in the case of a seesaw, it can be clearly seen that when one side of it is more pressurized it makes the swing go up and down.

One of the most prominent actors of the 90’s era, Manisha Koirala suffered from clinical depression which resulted because of her ex-husband Samrat Dalal. The actress who is known for her roles in blockbuster hit movies like ‘Saudagar’ and ‘Sanju’ has also battled and survived ovarian cancer.
When asked about what she has to say or what is the message she would like the world to know, here is what she said in an interview to ‘Parent circle’
“First and foremost, seek help. It could be professional or friendly advice or, help from someone you can open up to. Do not hesitate. Second, never think that you are alone. For, there is always someone willing to hear you out. And, don’t ever give up on yourself — you can survive everything!”
