Actors are rich, famous, and live a life we all desire. But not every celebrity was born with a silver spoon, neither they were the part of nepotism nor they were so well off.

These actors came from nothing and got everything with their hard-work and passion. These outliers have established a name for themselves by overcoming many hurdles along the way and reached the path of success. So, here is the list of celebs who made their way into stardom with a lot of real struggle.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui

A Versatile Actor is one who is able to play the same Role differently and the first name in this list is Nawazuddin Siddiqui. We all love his work on the silver screen and also love as a person in real. Nawazuddin Siddiqui grew up in a farmer's family with 8 siblings in Uttar Pradesh. Before attaining fame and success in Bollywood, earlier he had to make his living by working as a chemist and then as a watchman.

That was when he developed an interest in theatre and went to The National School of Drama and started his Bollywood career with a small role in ‘Sarfarosh’. Now, the man has made a special place in Bollywood and in the hearts of his fans.

Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan of Bollywood with millions of fans came from humble beginning and made it to the top. Born in Delhi, he quit his Masters in Mass Communication to pursue his career in acting, and with this passion of acting he left for Mumbai with approx 2000 rupees.

With his hard work and talent he came a long way. From tv to films, SRK traced his own path of success and shorn off his middle-class background and become a superstar.

Akshay Kumar

Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar with his outstanding performances and superstar aura won many hearts and made a special place for himself in Bollywood and give hit movies to the industry. Not very long ago, he worked as a waiter and dishwasher in Bangkok, he became a chef and sleep on the kitchen' s floor all night, and then also he earns only 1500 rupees.

Later, with martial arts training he came back to India and got into the Bollywood industry only because it paid more. He changed the level of action heroes in Bollywood and how he is one of the most highly paid actors.

Boman Irani

Boman Irani is a skillful performer – but before he cracked his path into the industry, he used to work as a waiter and a room service staff in the Taj Palace Hotel. The Parsi actor also used to help his mother to run their bakery shop.

Later he took his career in photography and theatre and got shot for the movie ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S ' and that was the turning point of his life and the path of success begin.

Mehmood

Mehmood started off very circumspectly as a child actor and before he became the famous face of Bollywood films for comedy. He earlier worked as a driver, poultry seller, and other jobs for his living.

After getting married, when he became a father he gave a serious thought to his acting career and shine like a star in the role of comedies and was called johnny walker of this generation.

Neha Kakkar

Youth sensation of today's era Neha Kakkar is one of the well-known and self-made talented singers from the industry. She began her singing career by participating in Indian Idol and now has turned as a judge for several singing shows.

Neha Kakkar was born in Rishikesh in a lower-middle-class family. Her father used to sell samosa outside of her sister's college. After shifting to Delhi, she along with her sister used to sing in kirtans and jagrans at every early age.

Her family is blessed with a melodious voice still her struggle went long way, and participating in the reality show was a turning point in her life and now she is one of the best singers of Punjabi and Hindi albums.

Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth, the god figure of the South Indian film industry, got this title after a lot of hard work and struggle. Before he was known as Thalaiva, he was a poor child who worked as a coolie and bus conductor for his living.

Then he started off by playing roles in Kannada mythological plays – and from there only he got selected for his debut film ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ and won a National Film Award. After that there was no stop for Rajinikanth to gain stardom.

Farah Khan

Not only stars but choreographers also did a struggle to reach the success they deserve. With the separated parents, Farah Khan and her brother Sajid Khan were torn between two houses. After her father passed out due to his alcohol drinking habit, the family's financial condition was all drained and they even had to borrow money from friends and relatives for their living.

After facing all these she decided to taught herself dance, and from then her feet never stopped and Farah went on to become one of Bollywood's most commendable choreographer.

Arshad Warsi

Arshad Warsi came to known best for his comic roles was from a well-off family until his father passed away. From a bungalow to a studio apartment, life just went downhill and he faced a lot of challenges. After his father died, he dropped out of school in 10th grade to earn a living.

From being a cosmetics salesman moving door to door, worked in a photo lab, he tried really hard for his living. Then he started working on his talent for comedy and today, we know him as "Circuit" and we're more than happy to see him on silver screens.

Mithun Chakraborty

Mithun Da, the star of Bollywood, his journey till here was a real struggle. He trained himself in martial arts and was a part of a Naxalite group in Bengal before he made his way to the film industry. When his brother passed away in a car accident, Mithun gave up his allegiance to the Naxals and went on to support his family and started doing several jobs for earning.

And later he went on to pursue acting at the Film and Television Institute of India and got success and now is being known as the " disco dancer " of Bollywood.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

The Rang De Basanti director didn't have it easy in life. He was a brilliant student and went on to study at Shri Ram College Of Commerce. But money-crunch led him to work as a salesperson for vacuum cleaners.

His love for movies took him to Mumbai but there, he found himself doing a spot boy's job on the sets. From advertising to films, he finally went on to make his first movie Aks and later, established himself as a master filmmaker.

Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan has a mammoth stature in Bollywood, to be part of the Bachchan family is to be royalty almost. But the actor fought his way to being one of the biggest superstars in the film industry for well over a couple of decades.

Big B came from Allahabad to Mumbai, where he had to pass many nights on the benches of Marine Drive because he did not have a house or home.

Smriti Irani

Smriti Irani wanted to prove to the world all that she was capable of so she left for Mumbai from Delhi to create a niche for herself in showbiz. She entered Femina Miss India 1997 but did not win and to tide her over the troubled times, she worked in McDonald’s scrubbing floors. Before long, she was the famous Tulsi of Star Plus – and BJP minister now.

Kangana Ranaut

From a misfit to an underdog to the queen of the industry, Kangana walked her path in Bollywood on her own terms. Hailing from a family that was neither connected to Bollywood nor supportive of her decision to join it, Kangana is the definition of a self-made woman.

She ran away from home and her meager earnings could only feed her with roti and achaar . Today, Kangana stands in Bollywood as a force to reckon with.

Ranveer Singh

One of India’s biggest brands today, it is astonishing that Ranveer has no industry background. The actor made his Bollywood debut with Band Baaja Baaraat . A few years ago, rumors surfaced that the actor’s father had bribed his way into the industry. It was said that Ranveer’s father paid a huge sum of money to producer, Aditya Chopra to land his son a role.

Ranveer denies this and affirms that he paved his way through hard work. The actor worked with agencies like O&M and JWT as a copywriter. From there he worked his way into film. Now he’s a pretty bankable star in 2018, with hits like Simmba and Padmaavat . His acting and rapping in Gully Boy also have fans excited.

Priyanka Chopra

The former Miss World and Miss India has made a hell of a crossover to Hollywood. The actress has dropped films and albums.

She had her fair share of struggles to get where she is today.

“ After winning the Miss World title, the first couple of years in Bollywood were horrible. I was 18 and didn’t know which film was right or wrong. There was a time when none of my films was starting. I was very close to quitting. But then by God’s grace, Andaaz happened. “

Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput started off in minor roles for films like Dhoom 2. In the world of television though, he landed key roles in famed soaps like Pavitra Rishta and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Di l. But he wanted to do films so he quit the show and was jobless for many months and like a true struggler worked at various coffee shops. And then, Kai Po Che happened and his life changed.

He wasn’t noticed in the film world till M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kai Po Che, and Raabta. He also starred opposite Sara Ali Khan in her debut Kedarnath .

Shahid Kapoor

The actor was said to be a SRK copycat for a while. All his romance films never made it big though. Since he started doing diverse roles with Badmaash Company, Udta Punjab is when he made it big.

“ I was with Shiamak Dawar’s Dance Troupe for 3-4 years. I was also a background dancer in several Bollywood movies. But I always wanted to become an actor on my own, so I started doing acting workshops. I went to audition for Ken Ghosh’s film Ishq Vishq, where I got rejected because of my thin frame. As luck would have it, his film also got stuck. In that one year, I worked hard on my body so when the film finally took off, Ken offered the role to me .”

Dilip Kumar

Respected as the ‘Pioneer of Method Acting in India’ and awarded with awards like Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan. Dilip Kumar’s life is an abstract journey. At his early age he earned his sustenance by selling fruits on the roadsides and then worked in a sandwich stall at an army club.

During his early days, he faced poverty as he didn’t even have a single penny to travel between home and the film studios. But he worked really hard and he manifests that there is no other key to success except passion and hard work.

In an industry running by nepotism, these people stand for their talent and commendable strength.
