World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared the COVID-19 strain of Corona virus as a pandemic. Among the many advises of health organizations and government units is to practice “social distancing,” a term defined by experts as maintaining a safe distance between people to avoid transmission. This means that as much as possible, one must avoid close contact with others in private, and most especially in public spaces.
Crystal Watson with the Center for Health Security at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health said, “It may seem harsh to take these steps sometimes, but really what we’re doing is protecting people from becoming seriously ill”. “We can affect how this outbreak unfolds by taking these measures.”
As countries across the world implement measures to flatten the curve of COVID-19 infections, some netizens, many unidentified, are using music, dance and memes to spread the safe distancing message and bring cheer amid the pandemic.
People may think how could anyone possibly write jokes at a time like this? But in times of crisis, when we are frightened and don’t know what the hell is going on, we’ve historically turned to comedy.
Comedy, as frivolous and inessential as it may seem, is humanity’s free coping mechanism, a medium that both distracts us from the horrors of the world while allowing us to get our best and worst thoughts out of our heads and off of our chests.
As time passes and the news changes on a minute-by-minute basis, jokes that were funny five days ago have turned sour. Not so funny in light of how many people refuse to take social distancing seriously.
Pets Quarantined
Of course, in the global panic of this now-pandemic virus, the internet has found humor in it-what an optimistically human thing! Take a look at the hilarious measures people around the globe are taking in order to practice social distance.
In this pandemic, the animals have also been found social distancing, whether they are sitting at their homes (pets) or on streets. So, are these cute Cats.
Let’s check out what are these Cats doing being quarantined.
On the first day of lockdown, I woke up at sunrise and sneaked out for a quick run. But then, the reality hits me hard, it’s crystal clear now that I have to stay at home. It doesn’t matter if I am healthy and young: I have to do my part and not put others at risk, not compromise the weakened healthcare system.
Now, I am locked down in my apartment since March 24, in my Bath Robe and Flip Flops.
My Morning Routine starts with a cup of Black Coffee, and exercises.
The entire day revolves around maintaining social distancing, listening to some soothing music, cooking, reading some good books and most of all, I am working from home these days.
COVID 19 Mysterious tip:
Being a responsible citizen, I am also checking on to my neighbor, as to they are keeping Social Distancing or not.
Self Isolation:
Hanging on the Sunshine. No one restricted from taking a good Sun Bath. It helps us to keep our Vitamins Level in check after all.
My dear Hooman sister, What part of Social Distancing have you not understood? Please maintain a safe distance and let both of us be safe from the pandemic.
These Humans are too much at home these days, all the time blabbering around, doesn’t let me enjoy my Music.
I guess I need to talk to a few of them that it’s not working. I just can’t let anyone hovering around me the entire day. They have even taken my Sofa, all I am just managing to sit on the back of the Sofa. How are things going to work this way?
Self Quarantine Days:
Just can’t get over it, its such an emotional journey. I am done with all the bird watching from home. I can’t go chasing birds around. I have been sitting, roaming in the house lately, watched Lion King 3 times in a day. I need a Life dude…
All that bird watching has made me Wild…!!!! I got my “Smiling Blue kitty” out to play with….then I ran off and hid it…..never to be seen again….!!!! Being typically #CatsofQuarantine.
Done with reading my favorite book these days, something which was pending on the Bookshelf for so many months. Ahh…!!
Of course, How can I forget, I am working from home these days. This Pandemic has closed Offices too. Working has never been so fun, where you can enjoy your Office as well as your hobbies.
Dinner Time:-
FYI: We maintain Social Distancing in Kitchen as well. Sounds gross, but that’s how it is.

Spending Caturday
Some Coffee Time and a Sweet Treat Time….so…heres a lovely short black Coffee and some delectable Choco Almond and Pistachio biscotti along with some fresh mini cupcakes for myself today.
Caturdays are meant for Super Sleepy mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights are meant to be for late-night snacking, movies, loud music….
COVID 19 has stuck everyone of us at homes, so it’s up to us how we face this time. Generally, We have seen people complaining about their regular schedules that they don’t get time for their families or to do their hobbies or even to relax at home. So, rather than wasting time complaining about some unnecessary things, we should utilize this time for our Good. We should spend this time with our families, to brush up some of our skills sitting online, to do something which we can’t do in usual days.
Now, whether we face this time of Quarantine with a Smile or not, we have to face it. We just have two situations with us “Whether to Stay Home or to Stay in Photo Frame’. It’s up to us, what we want to do.
